License

What you are allowed to do with anything you buy here. Written to be read once and understood, not to be survived.

Applies to every product in the shop · Last updated 10 September 2026

The short version

If you only read one part, read this one. The clauses below say the same thing with the edges filled in.

Yes
Use it in unlimited projects, including paid client work — commercials, films, social, ads, anything you are getting paid for.
No
Don't resell, share or redistribute the files themselves, or fold them into something you sell.
Always
The license is yours, permanently. One payment, no renewal, and every future update to the pack is included.

By product

The full terms

Seven clauses. Plain English on purpose — a license nobody can read protects nobody.

  1. What you are buying

A permanent, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use the product. You are licensing it, not buying the copyright — that stays with Kris Barnes. The license is granted to one person or one company, whoever paid.

  2. What you can make with it

Anything you like, for yourself or for a client, and you keep every penny it earns:

    • Unlimited projects — no cap, no per-project fee
    • Paid client work, commercials, broadcast, film and streaming
    • Monetized social, YouTube and paid advertising

No credit is required. It is appreciated, never demanded.

  3. The one rule

The files stay with you. Don't sell, gift, upload, torrent, mirror or bundle them — and don't fold them into a product of your own, whether that product is free or paid. A preset pack containing my LUTs is the thing this clause exists to stop.

The finished work you make with them is yours entirely. The rule is about the raw files, never the output.

  4. Clients get the work, not the tools

Deliver the graded video, not the .cube file. Deliver the mix, not the WAVs. If your client wants the tools too, they need their own license — send them here and I will look after them.

  5. Teams and studios

One license covers one person. If two editors are pulling from the same pack, that is two licenses. Studios and agencies: email me and I will price seats properly rather than making you buy the same thing twice.

  6. Sound packs, specifically

Every sound is cleared for you to sync into your own work. What you cannot do is claim ownership of the audio itself — never register anything from a pack with YouTube Content ID or any similar system. Doing so would issue copyright strikes against every other buyer using the same file, and it will end your license immediately.

  7. If the license ends

Breaking these terms ends the license. Work you already published stays licensed — I am not going to reach into your back catalogue. You just stop being allowed to use the files going forward.

Updates, refunds and support

Updates are free, forever

When a pack gets new files, you get them at the same download link. One purchase, permanently. Nothing here is a subscription.

All sales are final

Everything is delivered instantly, so there are no refunds. Read what is included before you buy — and if you are not sure a pack fits your setup, email me first. I would rather answer a question than take a sale that isn't right.

A broken download is always my problem

Dead link, wrong format, missing file — email info@krisbarnes.org with the address you ordered under and I will fix it personally, usually the same day.

Anything this page doesn't answer — an unusual use, a team license, a broadcast clearance question — just ask: info@krisbarnes.org. A real answer from me beats a guess from a license page.
