How I Shoot a Month of Content in One Day
The reason most creators and brands fall behind isn't talent — it's supply. They shoot one thing at a time, so they're always one bad week away from an empty feed. The fix is batching: treat content like production, not like posting.
Plan the day around outfits and setups, not ideas
Ideas are cheap; resets are expensive. I group every planned piece by look and location so we change clothes and lighting as few times as possible. Three outfits and two backdrops can carry twenty-plus pieces if you plan the order right.
The run-of-show
- Pre-write every hook and CTA before the camera turns on.
- Shoot all wide 'talking' pieces first while energy is high.
- Bank B-roll in blocks — hands, product, movement — for the edit later.
- Capture verticals and horizontals of the hero pieces so one shoot feeds every platform.
The multiplier is the edit
One shoot day only pays off if the footage is organized to move fast in post — labeled, color-ready, and paired with a sound library you can drag from. That's where a system beats hustle every time.
